The Department of Economics and Engineering Sciences at IPU Samarkand Campus was established in 2024. Since its establishment, Associate Professor Zayniddin Ubaydullayevich Mamatov has been serving as the head of the department.
Since 2024, a master's program in the specialty 70410102-Economics has been operating within the department.
The department offers programs based on the new state educational standards in 60540100-Mathematics, 60410100-Economics, 60410500-Finance and Financial Technologies, 60410600-Banking, 60610300-Information Systems and Technologies, 60610300-Computer Engineering: Computer Systems Information Security, 60610300-Computer Engineering: Computer Engineering, 60111300-Technological Education, 61040200-Organization of Road Traffic: Organization of Road Traffic in Automobile Transport, 61040200-Organization of traffic: Bachelor’s degrees are being offered in the fields of organization of railway traffic, 60721100-oil and gas work, 60720800-mining work, and 61020200-labor protection and safety engineering. Currently, the department has 2 professors, 8 candidates of science, 9 associate professors (PhDs), 1 senior lecturer, and 8 assistant lecturers actively working.
