The Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages at the IPU Samarkand Campus was established in 2025. Since its establishment, the department has been headed by Associate Professor (PhD) Berdiev Khusan Kholnazarovich.

Starting from the 2024–2025 academic year, the department has been training undergraduate students in the following bachelor’s degree programs:

60230100 – Philology and Language Teaching (Uzbek Language),

60230100 – Philology and Language Teaching (Russian Language),

60110700 – Uzbek Language and Literature.

At present, the department employs 4 Associate Professors (PhD), 4 Senior Lecturers, and 6 Assistant Lecturers.
